The Music of Jerry Spivey
I have been a musician and songwriter for years. I have my own studio, Horsefeathers, where I write and produce my own lyrics and music. I have travelled extensively throughout the U.S. playing in clubs and casinos. I have opened for such stars as Ricochet, William Lee Golden of the Oak Ridge Boys, Johnny Bush, Bobby G. Rice, Mel Street, and The Goldens. I am spreading the salvation story through my music and songs the cowboy way.
KEEP THE FAITH!
Music has been my passion since I was very young. My uncle Pete played in a country band and that sparked my interest in music. I now have a band that plays country, country rock, old rock & roll and some blues.
I've been playing and singing for many years and as time passed I found myself writing and singing gospel songs. I started singing in church when I was 5 years old and when I was 13 I dedicated my music to God. After years of playing "on the road" I'm back singing for the Lord again.
I'm a Marine Corps Vet, I fought for my country and I would do it again. SEMPER FIDELIS
Jerry's Favorite Joke
Two East Texans walk into a bar, while having a shot of whiskey, they talk guns and pickups. Suddenly, a woman at a nearby table, who is eating a sandwich, begins to choke. It becomes apparent that she is in real distress. One of the Texans says, "Kin ya swaller?" The woman shakes her head no. "Kin ya breathe?" Turning blue the woman shakes her head no.
The kindly Texan walks over lifts up her dress, yanks down her drawers and quickly gives her right butt cheek a lick with his tongue. The woman is so shocked that she has a violent spasm and the obstruction flies out of her mouth. As she begins to breathe again, the Texan walks slowly back to the bar.
His friend says,"Ya know, I'd heerd of that there `Hind Lick Maneuver`, but I ain't never seed nobody do it afore!"
